Part 'P' Level A
Allows you to change consumer units and install new ring mains.

Basic Electrics
Gives basic knowledge of electrics including safe isolation, wiring and fault finding on system controls such as HONEYWELL ‘S’ and ‘Y’ plans.

City & Guilds 2382-18 18th Edition and 2392-10 Testing & Inspection Qualifications are available at NGST Newcastle.

The following City & Guild electrical qualifications are offered at NGST Newcastle.
City & Guilds 2382-18 18th Edition Qualification
This qualification ensures that you are up-to-date with the latest industry regulation on wiring and the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. It covers the 18th edition of the IET Wiring Regulations, which came into force in June 2008. These regulations are recognised by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard (BS7671).
PLEASE NOTE: 2382-18 Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671: 2018 is now available. This covers the 18th edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
Until January 2019, both the new 18th Edition (2382-18) and the old 17th Edition (2382-15) will be current documents. Registrations for 2382-15 will close on 31 December 2018 and certifications will close from 31 March 2019. If you’re a practising electrician, you must comply with the regulations for electrical work, this qualification is designed to provide those seeking progression in their career with the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the Electrotechnical industry (only available at NGST Newcastle).
NGST offer both the 3 day course and the 1 day update for those who hold the BS7671 2008-15 3rd amendment.
This is a City & Guilds Level 3 qualification and all persons applying for JIB approved electrician will require this qualification.
City & Guilds 2392-10 Testing & Inspection Qualification
The 2392 Level 2 course has been developed specifically for domestic electrical installers and electrical contractors who are unfamiliar with inspection and testing.
This qualification will allow successful candidates to carry out fundamental inspection, testing and initial verification of domestic, single phase installations up to 100A once registered with a competent person’s scheme in accordance with the latest Part P Building Regulations.
Entry on the course requires no formal qualifications, however as a responsible training provider we must ensure candidates have both the potential and opportunity to gain this qualification.
Candidates must be over 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge and understanding of electrical science and principles. They also should have some experience within the electrical industry or allied trade.
